As a maternity, kid and newborn photographer I try my best to capture raw emotions and intimate moments shared by the family. This not only enhances the look and feel of the entire shoot, it removes the element of staging for a photo from the entire picture. Capturing these raw emotions sometimes becomes difficult because not everyone is comfortable in posing in front of a camera. My tip is to make the subject as comfortable with you before the day of the shoot as possible. This helps create a special bond between the expecting parents and me.
As clearly depicted in this shoot, the reason the expecting mother and the father were so comfortable and free during this shoot was because of the bond that they and I created before the main day. This helped me capture the true emotions and personality of the mother who I also made sure was super comfortable during the whole shoot.
I dressed the mother in two very elegant gowns for this shoot and the final pictures are truly mesmerising. For the first set she wore a beautiful orange gown with a floral tiara. I used flowers and a lantern along with my special photo editing skills to make there pictures memorable. She gave us some gorgeous standing and sitting poses against a greyish black background. Later we called in the soon-to-be father who wore his uniform and I managed to capture some very simplistic and elegant pictures of the happy couple, embracing the mom’s baby bump.
For the next set of images the mother-to-be wore a lacy, light blue gown and the father wore a navy blue shoot. I used a floral tiara and flowers as props for this set. For the laying down aerial shot we decorated the expecting mother’s hair with flowers and the result is the purest form of joy. Posing in front of a light blue background the warmth and love shared by the soon-to-be parents will mesmerise you.
